Father's Day Card And Tag - Simple Stories

It was my turn to create for the Memory Works blog and I chose to make some Father's Day themed items. I thought I would share them here too...

Dad We Love You
I used Simple Stories 24/7 line for both the card and the tag. Also added in a little Bella Blvd Designer Tape and May Arts Twine.

Dad, Happy Fathers Day! Tag
I may have gotten a little crazy with the stickers on this tag, but I think it all works so well together! Loving all of the different styles of Alphabet stickers in this line, fun to play with and mix up.

I also used several different punches on these projects, nice to put all of my tools to use!

Are you making anything special for Father's Day?

Thanks for stopping by!

Boy - Oh Boy!

Boy
I made this card for a recent Bella Blvd Blog post. I know it is simple, which is exactly what I was going for. I recently bought a mustache punch and I am a little bit obsessed with it. I want to put mustaches on all of my projects, but they don't always go.  I punched several mustaches out of different patterns and used some foam adhesive to adhere them to the card for a little dimension.

Take a closer look....

Speaking of boys, I have one that is ready to take his road test this week, and boy oh boy I am not ready for this! But I'm trying, that's all I can do..... wish me luck!

Simple Card Inspiration - Jillibean Soup

Thank You

Thought I would share a card that I made for Jillibean Soup with Jillibean Soup. This is what I would classify as a simple card. A few strips of pattern paper and a couple of butterflies, twine and a couple of stickers.

I layered the butterflies, added the twine and topped it off with the buttons.

Graduation Mini Album - 2013

One of the projects that I have been working on lately, a Graduation Mini Album for my Nephew. He graduated from High School last week. I cannot believe he is nearly 18 years old already and packing up to go away to college.

2013
I found this pre-cut album at Michaels. The year and cap were pre-cut, too cool!
I covered the front with paper and used an exacto knife to cut out the date and cap. I then added red and black cardstock to the backside of the cover. I made the tassel from Twinery twine and used a Tim Holtz clip to hang it from the jump ring. It was so easy to make and really is a nice touch.

This is page 1 and 2. I added a few quotes though out the book, because I'm not sure how many pictures my Sister will have to add to the album.
As you can see I stuck with red, black, white and grey. Similar to his school colors.

Pages 3 and 4. It was fun mixing different Alphabet stickers for the quotes. These are mainly Bella Blvd and Jillibean Soup.

I think I got them all pretty straight?

Pages 5 and 6. I pieced together the graduation cap by cutting a diamond shape and a rectangle. I used my corner rounder to round off the bottom of the rectangle and popped up the diamond shape for the top of the hat. It was super easy to create! I used a little silver chalk to make the small details stand out.

A closer peek...

Back Cover
I decorated the back cover with designer tape, washi tape and Bella Blvd chipboard Alphabets and Numbers.

I don't make many mini albums, but I should! They are fun to make and it's nice to have a finished project!

Happy Camper - Layout and Card

Jillibean Soup has a fun new line out, Happy Camper Soup! I got to play with this new line and it is so much fun! I can't wait to take more pictures Up North this Summer so that I can use this line more and more! Wait until you see the cute little foxes, you will be hooked! Check out some of my projects....

Sweet Treat
I love the gray woodgrain pattern and those arrows are to die for. I have to mention the Pea Pod Parts, the are super cute!!

The cutest little tree, from the Pea Pod Parts..... i love it!

I cut the marshmallow sticks from the Bite Size Bits page and popped them up with a little foam adhesive. I went today and stocked up on more foam adhesive. Bought 5 packs, wonder how long they will last...

Happy Trails card
Check out that super cute camper, there are a bunch of them in the Pea Pod Parts package along with a few really cute vehicles! Super adorable!

the details...
Had to add some Alphabeans to this card, love all of the fonts and colors they come in. I use them quite a bit, I'm running out of the Red ones.

Are you in love with this line yet? This line is going to make scrapping your summer photos a little more fun! I promise.

Oh yeah, I wanted to share one more thing. I finally booked my plane ticket to Utah, this is for real now! I am so nervous and excited all at the same time. I will be teaching at a retreat and although I have been teaching classes for quite a few years this is teaching on another level, larger groups and time constraints. If you have any tips or advice to share please do, I would appreciate it!

Thanks for stopping by....

That is the last time I updated here. Doesn't seem like that long ago...

Hey! I have some stuff to share!!! Not just me rambling on about random stuff this time...

We have been using stamps over at Bella Blvd this week. They have teamed up with Hampton Arts to manufacture their stamps, and I have to say change is good. I really like the quality of the stamps and how easily I am able to get good clean images from them. I may be a little challenged in the stamping department, maybe. Here are a few of the projects I created with the newest stamps...

Congratulations
For this card I used both papers and stamps from the Love And Marriage Line. Both the dress and the diamond ring are stamped images. See how nice and clean they look?! I stamped the dress twice so that I could add a little color, both the pink waist line and the flower are cut out from another stamped image and layered on.

ohh, I get all giddy when I get to make pretty things!

Best Wishes
Again I used the Love And Marriage collection here. All of the stamping is on the tag, both the sentiment and the diamond ring. I have a feeling I will be using that ring stamp quite a bit. I like the little extra touch it adds to wedding-ish projects.

a little bit closer...
such a fun paper line to use!

So, what else have I been up to.... boat rides, weddings, dining out, working, cleaning, planning a band banquet, attending a banquet, got a hair cut, paid some bills, ate some Taki's for lunch, got a delivery from UPS.....

What I still need to do.... clean the house, do some laundry, go to the Chiropractor, get some DT assignments done, book a plane ticket, grocery shop.....

It never ends.....

Happy Memorial Day weekend!
