Oh Boy, Photo Heavy Post

Spent some time snapping photos of these guys by the train tracks. Once again, I took too many photos and keep changing my mind about which are my favorites. Tell me this happens to you too?

We were practicing Senior Pictures for this boy who just started his Senior year of High School. And how did that time go by so fast? Seems like he just started kindergarten a little while ago. Time flies is an understatement.

This one is one of my many favorites..
I was pretty jazzed to get some pictures of him without a Nike shirt on. Pretty tricky stuff because that is usually what he is wearing.

I like this one too!

And I really like this on, even though he is not looking at the camera. I just like it.

This one is good too:)

And then there's this joker...
I can't wait to share this at his wedding someday!

He cleans up well too.

And I still don't have just one favorite, of either boy.

Most likely I will just print them all, and look at them over and over again. That's what I do, sometimes.

More Cards!

So, even though I haven't been blogging much lately I have created some projects. I realized that I really should share them here. You may have already seen them on the Bella Blvd blog, that's okay!

Hello Sunshine Card

This card is so bright and cheery! I created this for the Bella Blvd blog challenge a little while ago. There was a sketch to follow and I have to admit that I really put my own spin on it. Really only using the circle shape that was on the sketch.  Anyone else have difficulty following sketches?

Take a closer look..

I, again used some of the Bella Blvd feathers that I have in my stash. I really like how they add flair to my projects. I have some ideas for Christmas projects that I want to use them on too. You'll have to stop back to see what I do!

So Glad We're Friends card

Not the best photo ever, those little gold stars were not feeling photogenic! I was going for a confetti look on this card. Once again using 99% Bella Blvd products.

A little bit closer..

At this angle you can really see that the little stars are in fact gold. It's all about the angles! I might have gotten a little carried away with the stars. It's because they are gold and shiny...

Anyone else in the mood to start making all sorts of Christmas themed projects?

I have a confession, I have had Christmas on my mind quite a bit lately. I told my family that I wanted to put up the Christmas tree already, mind you it is mid October. I have this vision of our tree and I can't wait to make my vision a reality! After years of searching, I finally found the perfect Christmas Tree topper! I will share it with you when the tree is up, most likely not in October though. It also didn't help that a Hobby Lobby opened last week that is pretty close to home, and you know how many aisle of Christmas goodies they have....

Excuses, I have a few.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello!

Just popping in to share a couple of cards that I made with Bella Blvd products.

Thanks For Owl You Do card..

I am in love with this little owl and his feather headband! So darn cute!! I added a few feathers behind him too!

Take a closer look...

Some things always stay the same... Layers, I love to layer! I also love to play with paper, trying to find a bit more time to do that.

Give Thanks card

Whether you're in denial or not, Thanksgiving is right around the corner...so is winter :(
Bella Blvd has the perfect collection to complete some Fall projects! hello Autumn is absolutely perfect! I love all of the different patterns! You will too, if you haven't gotten your hands on it yet, you will be feeling regret if you don't soon!

A closer peek...

Those feathers are becoming a staple of mine these days! I love to trim them up a bit to look like leaves. Add's some interest and texture to my projects.

Thanks for stopping by! Sorry for my scarce-ness. Lot's going on, trying to find a good balance. If you have any suggestions or advice please share in the comments.

Happy Fall!!

Long Time, No See.....

It has been quite a while since I updated the ole blog. Not that I haven't been scrapping, just that I have been scrapping less. This girl has been pretty busy! In March I was promoted to a new position and it has been super fun, demanding and mentally exhausting. These are all good things! I really LOVE my new job! I have learned and grown so much in these last few months, it's crazy! So, now you know why I have been absent.

Now that I got all of the excuses out of the way, how about some creativity!

Young Man Layout
I created this layout using Bella Blvd products! You may have already seen it on the Bella Blvd blog a while back. I love pairing the black and white photos with colorful patterns, it gives the photo an extra pop!

A closer look..
I trimmed down the feathers to a smaller version so they didn't overpower my photo.

And yes, I am still loving flags! I may use them forever!

So much has changed in the Scrapbooking world since I last updated! We said goodbye (sadly) to Archiver's stores and 2 Pea's. Today I also received notice that Hannah's is closing as well. If you are near the Wisconsin/Illinois border you are probably familiar with Hannah's. It is really sad to see businesses closing doors, please please please support your local Scrapbook Store's if there are any in your area. While I do shop at the big box stores, they just don't have the latest/greatest products that are out there.

Thanks for stopping by and listening to me preach a bit! But really, support local business!

Till we meet again...
